Wow! My first time eating Jamaican food and I'm hooked!
Was hungry so I found this place on Yelp. I didn't know it's basically a eat out place but if you want to eat in there's one chair and a a counter at the store front. That's what I did. Had my food right there :)
It's soooooooo good the classic Oxtail dish. I picked a large so it comes with 2 sides of my choices. I chose collard green and rice and bean. The rice tastes coconutty!! Ahhhh my favorite.
The oxtail pieces are amazing. Ahhhh I definitely want to come back to try out more dishes here.
Not sure how the area is but bullet proof glass is installed. The drive to here from Springfields mall does indicate that this is a not so safe area.
Overall it's a yummy! -

Man. I don't know where to start but we have to start somewhere right?. Okay here goes my review: They say 3 times a charm right welllll I gave them 3 tries... try #1 the meats was good I had chicken curry collard greens and Mac... the collard greens taste like water and cardboard with no season and the Mac wasnt that good kinda burnt and tasteless but it "looked good"...husband had jerk chicken cabbage and peas and rice... cabbage tasted like nothing...the rice was dry.. we asked to put the sauce (from the chicken on it but she didn't. We order a small stew and we got home and realized she didn't even put the rice in there ... but we was like maybe it was a bad slow day and the lady was the ONLY person who worked so we let it go... the 2nd try they literally had nothing on the menu but we was hungry and we got what they had and they guy was nice and everything actually good.. but the Mac was still nasty lol.... and the 3rd we order and they had the nerve to have the mac $3 more when it was already a regular side for the platter...so we said welll let's give it ONE more try.... welll this was the LAST try!!! we HAD to take our food back and get a refund.. i put a spoon full in my mouth and immediately spat it out and started gagging my rice was extremely sour like it was sat allll night before ...it was not fresh... and my husband didn't get to eat his either bc his was sour too and the Mac was horrible and taste like stale bottled water and noodles.. we both spat it out and rushed to take it back to get out money before they closed .... I'll gladly go to YEADON for some Jamaican food for now on u til OB's open back.
sn: before our last straw with this establishment we went by a couple times and they were closed so if u go don't be surprised but we are DONE!! -

I was excited to hear a Jamaican restaurant was opening in the area, went the first day had jerk chicken rice & peas it was good I have gone back several times and have been disappointed every time since. Curry Chicken is messy lots of skin and odd pieces, oxtail is fatty and bland, Mac and cheese don't even waste your money. I gave them several chances though maybe just a bad day for certain dishes but this is NOT Jamaican food! The young lady behind the counter is nice but the service is slow... please get a better chef, you have a great location and potential that chef has to go!
